About 80 delegates are expected to embark on a Celebrity Silhouette mini-cruise on Thursday, May 26 for GoCruise & Travel’s conference.

The ship will depart Southampton on Thursday, arrive in Bruges on Friday and Amsterdam on Saturday, before returning to England on Monday.

The theme of the four-day event will be A Sky Full of Stars, inspired by the hit song from Coldplay.

Samantha Bruton, head of franchise at the franchise business owned and operated by Fred Olsen Travel, said about half the company’s agents are expected to attend, along with speakers, management and representatives from 12 suppliers.

The conference aims to help agents achieve their goals, strengthen relationships with suppliers and “rediscover their love for travel”.

There will be a marketplace on the first day, plus networking at dinner and pre-dinner drinks each night, with the second evening themed as “white night” and a gala event on the final evening.

Appointments have been arranged for agents who want to meet staff from head office and have one-to-one meetings with suppliers.

Delegates can join an excursion in Amsterdam and the main conference sessions will take place on Sunday while the ship is at sea.
