First images of spa area on board Seabourn’s expedition ships released

Seabourn has released details of the spa and wellness area on board its two upcoming expedition ships.

Spa & Wellness will occupy deck seven on both Seabourn Venture and its yet-to-be-named sister ship.

The 3,700 sq ft area will feature four treatment rooms, a sauna with floor-to-ceiling windows and a yoga and fitness area with an open wall of windows.

The space will offer the line’s ‘Mindful Living’ programme, Spa & Wellness with Dr. Andrew Weil, which comprises yoga, guided meditation, seminars and treatments.

Integrating the concept of a contemporary ‘floating forest’, with details including a textured tree-inspired art mural, a light wood and bronze material palette and live wood features, Seabourn said the space would allow guests to enhance their expedition “with physical, social, environmental and spiritual wellbeing.”

“Spa & Wellness is sure to be a standout space for our guests to embrace feelings of wellbeing in the midst of adventure on expeditions to the wonders of the world on our expedition ships,” said Seabourn’s president Josh Leibowitz.

“Over the past year, wellness has grown in importance in many people’s personal lives, and our highly trained staff will be devoted to providing a robust series of mind and body programs and rejuvenating treatments developed in collaboration with Dr. Weil to ensure travellers can relax, reconnect, and recharge during their time on board.”

Seabourn Venture is scheduled to launch in December 2021, with the second ship slated to launch in 2022.

Both 132-suite ships will be designed and built to PC6 Polar Class standards and will carry two custom-built submarines, expedition kayaks and 24 Zodiacs with room to accommodate all onboard guests at once.

Seabourn Venture will sail on a series of 10- to 14-day Norwegian Winter voyages during its inaugural season between December 2021 and April 2022.
