Explora Journeys unveils 2024-25 winter programme

Explora Journeys has unveiled itineraries for its 2024-25 winter season on board its first ship, Explora I.

The programme features 25 sailings between September 2024 and April 2025, visiting 73 destinations across 24 countries. Eight of the destinations will be first time visits for the cruise line, including Macapá, Alter-do-Chaõ and Manaus in the Amazon, and the Devil’s Island in French Guiana.

The line said its new collection promises guests a “new dimension of authentic, transformative travel experiences”, with an emphasis on moving at a slower pace and giving passengers opportunities to stay longer at each destination with overnight stays.

The eight-night Journey to Trailing Whales and Falling Leaves departs New York City and calls at Boston before sailing to the UK and stopping in Portland and Halifax, and ending in Quebec.

Prices start from £4,079 based on an October 8, 2024 departure, including all meals and drinks.

New for the 2024-25 season is the opportunity to journey up the Amazon River and into the Brazilian rainforest on the Journey into Wild and Wonderful Amazonia and the Journey to the Meeting Waters on the Almighty Amazon itineraries.

Guests on the former sailing will depart Bridgetown on November 22, 2024 and call at Devil’s Island, Macapá, Alter-do-Chaõ and Manus, while passengers on the latter will depart Manus on November 29, 2024 and travel up the Amazon to Macapá and Bequia before returning to Bridgetown.

Prices for each itinerary start at £3,649.
