The Expedition Cruise Network (ECN) is inviting agents to sign up to its first UK and Ireland roadshow series.

The network, which celebrates its first anniversary next month, will host agents in Birmingham, Manchester and Dublin between April 23-25.

ECN chief executive Akvile Marozaite said: “The roadshow provides the opportunity for professionals to speak directly to suppliers to ask the questions they want answered so that they can confidently sell products taking clients to some of the most exciting and remote regions in the world.”

The Birmingham event on April 23 will be held in Revolución de Cuba, with the Manchester event taking place on April 24 in the Hilton Deansgate’s Iris Lounge and the Dublin session being held on April 25 at The Morrison Hotel. All will run from 6pm until 9.30pm.

The suppliers due to attend are Albatros Expeditions, Australis, Aqua Expeditions (Dublin only), Hurtigruten (Birmingham and Manchester only), Lindblad Expeditions – National Geographic (all three cities), Polar Latitudes (Birmingham and Manchester only), Scenic (Birmingham and Manchester only) and Silversea (Dublin only).

The ECN, which has more than 1,000 travel trade members, said the roadshow comes on the back of its research suggesting that a key barrier for the travel trade was understanding expedition cruise products and the differences between them.
