Etihad launches Manchester social media contest

Etihad Airways is teaming up with Manchester airport and Manchester City FC for a social media treasure hunt across the city.

Participants in #EtihadHunt will need to sign up on an app on Facebook.

They will be given clues tomorrow (Good Friday) that will lead them to three secret locations in Manchester.

At each stage they will be asked to complete a task and those that succeed will go into a draw to win a holiday to Abu Dhabi.

Manchester Airports Group marketing director Jeff Howarth said: “We are pleased to be supporting Etihad’s social media treasure hunt across Manchester.

“We're keen to engage more in the social media space and keen to promote more interaction amongst all of our fans and followers.

“Etihad Airways are one of our biggest airlines with a double-daily service to their Abu Dhabi hub and beyond, and they already have strong links to the Manchester community through their sponsorship of Manchester City."

The airline’s UK general manager Clive Wratten said: “Manchester is an important destination for Etihad Airways, and it’s great to work with such excellent partners such as Manchester City FC and Manchester Airport.
