Emirates is returning to Cambodia by reviving a route from Dubai which was suspended in March 2020 as the pandemic hit.
The carrier is bringing back daily flights to Phnom Penh via Singapore from May 1.
The linked schedule with Singapore is timed to provide “optimal connecting opportunities” to and from multiple European cities including those in the UK.
Emirates will serve Singapore with four daily flights with the additional connection.
The service will be operated with a three-class Boeing 777-300ER offering eight First Class private suites, 42 lie flat seats in business class and 310 economy seats.
Chief commercial officer Adnan Kazim said: “The resumption of our Phnom Penh services demonstrates our commitment to strengthening our Southeast Asian network, as we continue to create more opportunities for travellers to explore diverse and culturally rich destinations, and help businesses and exporters of all sizes establish stronger trade connections.
“We thank the Cambodian and Singaporean authorities for their support in establishing this new route.
“We look forward to re-introducing our customers to yet another vibrant destination on our network as they explore the world.”
Meanwhile, Qatar Airways has restored a daily non-stop flight between Doha and Osaka using Airbus A350-900 aircraft with 36 business class seats and 247 in economy.
