Emirates introduces meal pre-ordering on London flights

Business class passengers flying with Emirates from London airports will be able to pre-order in-flight meals up to 14 days in advance.

The new service is introduced from July 25 on all flights between Dubai and Heathrow, Gatwick and Stansted.

Passengers can pre-select their hot main meal between 14 days and 24 hours in advance of departure via the airline’s website or app.

Meal pre-ordering will be added to AI-enabled customer preference tracking data and cabin crew reports, which facilitate menu planning and optimal food loading,

The airline plans to expand the initiative to more routes and classes “in the near future” after monitoring passenger feedback from the initial phase.

Emirates serves Heathrow six times a day and Gatwick three times a day with Airbus A380 superjumbos, while Stansted has a twice daily service.
