Cunard ships depart on 100th anniversary world cruises

Cunard ships Queen Mary 2 and Queen Victoria left Southampton on world cruises last night (Wednesday).

This year is the 100th anniversary of Cunard’s first round-the-world voyage.

The two ships embarked on itineraries mirroring many ports of call from the first sailings by former vessels Laconia and Samaria.

The sailings have attracted the highest number of passengers taking full circumnavigations, according to the line.
