Cunard reports best booking month in decade

Cunard has reported a January sales booking record as it prepares for a “ground-breaking” year.

The line said it booked more passengers in January than it has in any other month in the last decade.

It reported a 25% increase compared to the previous high of the last 10 years, with demand up for both sailings in year and future years.

The line’s newest ship, Queen Anne, will enter service in May and represents a 44% capacity increase for the line. The vessel, which will be the line’s first new ship in 14 years, has seen “strong demand” from customers, according to line president Katie McAlister.

“As we prepare to navigate what is set to be a truly ground-breaking year for Cunard, it has been fantastic to have such a strong start to the year,” she said.

“The appeal of Cunard is strong for guests across the world and is particularly strong for sailings across Europe on our new ship Queen Anne.”
