The Taiwanese city of Hualien, Miyakojima in Japan and New Plymouth in New Zealand are new ports of call featured by Cunard in winter 2020-21.

The line’s three ships are scheduled to cover 94 destinations in 38 countries between November next year and May 2021.

The new programme of cruises includes flagship Queen Mary 2 taking in Southern Africa, the Indian Ocean, Australia, south-east Asia and the Mediterranean.

Queen Victoria will sail a western circumnavigation of the globe, while Queen Elizabeth is to run exotic voyages covering Asia, Australia and New Zealand.

In addition, Queen Elizabeth will operate four return voyages from Melbourne and four from Sydney, covering South Australia, Tasmania and New Zealand.

A pair of ‘open-jaw’ New Zealand voyages are new for 2021, sailing from Sydney to Auckland and from Auckland to Sydney.

These can be taken as 12 or 13-night voyages, or combined into a longer 25-night Sydney round trip including nine New Zealand ports, two in Tasmania as well as a day in Melbourne.
