An enhanced ‘no snow’ policy has ben introduced by Crystal Ski Holidays.

The initiative now allows customers who book before November 30 to change their holiday before they travel fee-free if less than 10% of runs are open in the ski area they are travelling to. 

They will be able to change to an alternative Crystal package if there is lack of snow or no snow in the four days before they are due to travel.

The ‘snow promise’ is available on Crystal package holidays departing between December 2023 and April 2024.

Skiers and snowboarders can also upgrade to a ‘snow promise extra’ for £25 per person with fee-free changes possible if less than 50% of runs are open.

The operator’s existing policy for customers in resort also still stands, whereby if less than 10% of runs are open in the ski area due to a lack of snow or no snow, Crystal will look to arrange up to three days of skiing in an open resort within a two-hour drive. Local transport and new lift passes will be provided.

Managing director Chris Logan said: “We always want to make sure our customers feel reassured when booking and travelling with us. 

“We’ve reviewed and listened to our customers’ feedback, and we know that flexibility and choice is key to them, especially when it comes to their much-anticipated ski holiday.

“We look after every element of our customers’ ski holidays, and we wanted to make sure that our snow promise is there to support skiers and snowboarders on the rare occasion that the snow doesn’t show, as we want everyone to enjoy the mountains and come home with memories to last a lifetime.”

The new Crystal snow promise will be applied retrospectively for all customers who have booked so far and automatically included in all package holidays booked up until November 30.

Holidaymakers will also be given the option to upgrade to the snow promise extra on holidays booked by November 30.
