Cox & Kings launches European Spotlight tours

Cox & Kings has launched a series of European Spotlight tours focussed on exploring the lesser-known locales of well-known destinations.

The luxury small group tour specialist said the new tours offered an array of culturally immersive activities from a single location. Guests will be based at one hotel and explore from a fixed point with an expert local guide.

The new series will feature seven, week-long tours in total, with spotlights on Malta, Athens and Evia, the Azores, Veneto, Aegean Turkey, Slovenia and the Basque Country.

“The introduction of a single centre European tour portfolio based in lesser-explored areas of mainstream destinations matches the future trend towards short-haul travel and adds the peace of mind of staying in one hotel throughout,” said managing director Kerry Golds.

The new tours come alongside new research from the brand outlining a revived trend for solo travel.

Cox & Kings said the opportunity to meet like-minded people and discover new cultures and destinations was driving solo travel bookings, with its Splendours of Sri Lanka itinerary currently proving the most popular among solo travellers.

South America (particularly Chile), Europe and India also continued to drive interest for this demographic, it added.
