Cookson Adventures reports increased demand for educational travel

Cookson Adventures has seen a rise in enquiries for educational travel among its client base of high-net-worth individuals.

The luxury tour operator said many of its clients were looking to make up for lost time in 2021 by opting for ‘legacy’ style trips.

To cater to demand, the brand said it hired specialist adventure guides who can ‘double up’ as tutors and designed tailored activity books for kids where the children can log the day’s activities and complete wildlife check-lists.

"This extraordinary planet has a lot to teach us, and what better way to learn about its wonders than exploring destinations with world-leading experts at your side," said Cookson Adventures' founder, Henry Cookson.

"Our clients are often successful businesspeople taking time out to explore with their families, investing in teaching their children powerful lessons through travel.

“That’s why we often weave activities with educational value into their handcrafted itineraries."

Cookson Adventures has arranged an educational treasure hunt on a private Fijian island complete with bespoke treasure maps, actors playing explorers and metal detectors and drones to hunt for clues.

The tour operator has also designed a multi-generational family expedition along the Antarctic Peninsula, where an adventure guide curated separate itineraries for the adults and children, and a re-enactment of a battle from the Second World War in the Solomon Islands.
