Claire Stirrup expands Celebrity Cruises role in senior restructure

Claire Stirrup is taking on an extended remit as senior sales director EMEA as part of a top level staff shake-up at Celebrity Cruises.

She will overseeing all sales for the UK & Ireland and EMEA under the leadership of EMEA vice president & managing director Giles Hawke.  

Marketing director Lisa Rose has left the business, which has seen Jody Wallace promoted to commercial marketing director EMEA, joining Hawke’s EMEA leadership team to grow the region’s footprint.

In addition, Gerard Nolan, EMEA associate vice president commercial, will take on an expanded role including the commercial and revenue responsibility for the Asia-Pacific region alongside his current  responsibilities. 

The new EMEA sales structure under Stirrup will enable Celebrity to drive best practice, improve efficiencies and accelerate growth in key EMEA markets working in partnership with key trade and international representation partners across its global territories, according to the line.

Stirrup said: “The new EMEA sales structure for Celebrity will transform how we conduct business in key international markets, driving efficiency and effectiveness to allow the total EMEA sales team to closely align on core business objectives across the entire region.”

Hawke added: “2024 is a pivotal year for the brand as we really look to accelerate growth in the premium cruise space.  

“The newly-formed EMEA leadership team will enable us to have one clear global vision, that will deliver increased revenue and enable best practice in our sales, revenue and commercial areas internationally.           

“With the arrival of Celebrity Apex in Southampton in May and a further five ships in Europe for summer 2024, there is so much opportunity for us to grow our European business and we are now structured effectively to drive this.”
