Celebrity Cruises appoints regional marketing chief from Expedia

Lisa Rose has joined Celebrity Cruises from Expedia Group as marketing director for the EMEA region.

She will oversee all aspects of brand, marketing and PR, reporting to regional vice president and managing director Jo Rzymowska.

The previous brand marketing and PR director for Celebrity Cruises EMEA was Jo Vaughton. 

Rose takes on a wider remit across all marketing channels including brand, social, PR, digital and CRM.

She was senior director, Expedia brand strategy, and starts with the cruise line today.

Rose was also senior director of both marketing & propositions and global loyalty for Hotels.com. 

Prior to joining Expedia Group, she spent eight years across roles at British Sky Broadcasting and Diageo.

Her appointment follows the launch of new ship Celebrity Beyond and as the line deploys six ships in Europe for the first time.

Rzymowska said: “The past year has been historic for Celebrity as we relaunched our fleet and more recently, marked the introduction of Celebrity Beyond in April. 

“Lisa is joining at an incredibly exciting time. Her long-term vision, strategic thinking and strong leadership align with Celebrity Cruises and our commitment to growth and innovation in the travel industry.” 

Rose added: “I’m ecstatic to be joining this forward-thinking luxury holiday brand at a pivotal time for the travel industry.
