British Olympic champion joins Celebrity Cruises’ sailing

British Olympic gold medallist Sally Gunnell is to join a Celebrity Cruises’ sailing on Celebrity Silhouette this week.

The former 400-metre hurdler, who won gold at the 1992 Olympics, will speak to passengers and host a fitness session during the three-night voyage out of Southampton.

Silhouette will call into Portland and Dover during the cruise before returning to Southampton.

Gunnell’s talk will be at 4pm on October 30 and the fitness session will be at 4pm on October 31.

Gunnell (pictured) and her husband Jonathan Bigg will lead the session in the Sky Observation Lounge. Passengers who choose to take part can warm up, stretch, do bodyweight exercises and run with Gunnell on the jogging track.

Prices for the sailing start from £548 per person.
