Birmingham airport gains second No1 lounge

A second lounge has opened at Birmingham airport by No1 Lounges.

Entrance to the Clubroom costs £35 for a stay of up top three hours instead of £28 at the company’s existing lounge at the airport.

Clubrooms are designed in the style of a modern members’ club, with table service, à la carte dining, wines, cocktails and runway views.

The collection of interconnecting rooms is available to passengers aged 12 years and over.

A second lounge has become necessary to increase the company’s capacity at the airport.

Stays can be upgraded for £15 to include Moët & Chandon or Veuve Clicquot Champagne packages when booking online.

The existing No1 lounge costs £28 for adults and £18 for children.

The second Birmingham facility is the company’s tenth lounge in the UK, with others at Heathrow, Gatwick and Edinburgh airport.

Birmingham airport acting commercial director Richard Gill said: “The new lounge will be located on the international pier near to the gates – a perfect location prior to boarding.

“Customers desiring a premium airport experience now have the Clubrooms as an additional lounge to choose from.”

No1 Lounges founder and CEO Phil Cameron said: “Our existing lounge has proven to be extremely popular with business and leisure travellers alike, so it was a natural step for us to open a second lounge at the airport, offering greater choice, and an even more refined and memorable experience – all for a price that represents great value for our guests.

“This opening is part of a major expansion programme for No1, bringing more lounge choices and availability to airports across the UK and beyond.”
