Best Exotic Marigold Hotel to be staged on Cunard flagship

Performances of The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel will be staged on Cunard flagship Queen Mary 2 before Christmas.

The show, which is in production at London’s Richmond Theatre, will appear as three matinee and evening performances in the ship’s Royal Court Theatre during a seven-night transatlantic crossing on December 15-22.

Passengers will also have the opportunity to participate in a behind-the-scenes Q&A, as well as workshops and other appearances with the cast, which includes Rula Lenska, Hayley Mills and Paul Nicholas.

Sture Myrmell, president of Cunard parent Carnival UK, said: “We are thrilled to welcome the cast of The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel aboard our flagship, Queen Mary 2, in December.

“Our guests will be able to enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see this exclusive performance at sea and meet the stars.”

Show producer Simon Friend added: “I am excited for our production of The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel to embark on this adventure.

“As a show about exploring the world and finding yourself anew, I hope that it will connect with guests watching while on the voyage.”
