Belize Tourism Board creates first agent rewards programme

Belize Tourism Board has created its first travel agent rewards programme designed to “give something back” to the trade.

Agents can earn points for any booking with a minimum of one overnight stay in Belize on the itinerary, with 100 points per night available.

Booking confirmation must be uploaded on the tourism board’s trade portal and points will be given on the date of departure.

Points are then valid for 24 months and can be redeemed for hotel room nights and merchandise.

Director of tourism Evan Tillett said he hopes the programme will help build trade relationships and shows the board’s appreciation for its agent partners.

“We hugely appreciate our travel advisor community,” he said.

“They’re some of our greatest allies, therefore we wanted to create a programme that would allow for us to build a better relationship with them while providing them with the support they need and also give something back to them in the form of rewards.”
