Beaumont Group to launch luxury travel brand

A new luxury travel and hospitality venture spearheaded by the former chief executive of Cookson Adventures has closed an initial seed round of $3.7m from US investors.

UK-based Beaumont Group has plans to launch a global luxury travel brand offering “truly immersive and substantive experiences across many different areas of culture and knowledge”.

The company said it was currently identifying property and real estate assets for lease, management and acquisition across multiple continents.

Beaumont Group also has ambitions to build an “ultra-luxury” tour operator that will create customised, cultural experiences for seasoned travellers.

The group initially plans to sell direct to consumer when it launches later this year, though it confirmed working with the travel trade was “absolutely within its business plan”.

Chief executive Adam Sebba, who was chief executive at luxury tour operator Cookson Adventures for over two years, said: “We are taking note of the fundamental shift in what people want from luxury travel and the rapidly growing emphasis on satisfying curiosities and enriching the mind through travel.

“We will be using the capital to launch a new consumer-facing brand, with a focus on US and Asian markets.

“It’s a privilege to have the backing of such experienced investors and exciting to work with such a talented team.”
