Azamara hires former Royal Caribbean regional sales manager

Azamara has hired a new business development manager as it looks to drive trade growth across the country.

Adam Morris joins the cruise line from Royal Caribbean International where he held the roles of regional sales manager and key account manager.

Prior to Royal Caribbean, Morris worked for Thomas Cook where he was promoted from the position of sales consultant to cluster manager.

In his new role, Morris (pictured) will spend time with existing agent partners and look to reach more of the smaller independent agencies and consortia members across the UK and Ireland.

His appointment is part of a push from Azamara to increase support for agents nationally and help drive sales, the line said.

Stuart Pearce, head of trade sales UK, said: “I am delighted to have someone of Adam’s talent and experience join the team.

“The appointment marks another exciting step in Azamara’s ambitions for the UK market, as we continue to grow with some of the finest talent in the industry.

“We’ve already enjoyed a very strong start to the year and with Adam’s experience and contacts and his proven track record of boosting sales, we’re confident that he will play a vital role in developing Azamara’s business performance.”

Morris added: “I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to join Azamara – a cruise line that I have admired for many years – for its unwavering commitment to immersive and meaningful travel experiences.

“As I start my new role, I look forward to helping drive forward Azamara’s growth plans in the UK market, and seeing the company go from strength-to-strength globally.”
