Avalon Waterways adds no-fly cruises to 2023-24 collection

Avalon Waterways has launched a collection of no-fly cruises which will be operated by Eurostar.

Available to book from April 20, the river cruise line has unveiled five itineraries for 2023 and 2024 departures that can be combined with Eurostar: Tulip Time; Active and Discovery on the Seine; Paris to Normandy; Active & Discovery Holland & Belgium; and Grand Tulip Cruise.

Passengers can take the Eurostar from St Pancras International to Paris Gare du Nord or Amsterdam where they will join their river cruise.

The lead-in price for the seven-night Active & Discovery Holland & Belgium itinerary in £1,918 based on a July 21, 2023 departure.

Sales and marketing director Janet Parton (pictured) said: “Travel agents and guests have been asking us for no-fly cruises and we have listened.

“We are thrilled to offer our guests the opportunity to travel to Europe without the need for air travel.

“With Eurostar’s high-speed rail service, our guests will be able to sit back, relax and take in the stunning scenery as they travel from London to Paris or Amsterdam before embarking on their unforgettable river cruise holiday.

“It’s a more sustainable and hassle-free way to explore Europe and we are proud to offer this option.

“With escalating air fares to Europe, we believe these cruises will be very popular.”
