AmaWaterways prepares to return to Mekong River

AmaWaterways will return to the Mekong River in autumn and is offering two-for-one land packages on selected 2022 departures.

The luxury river cruise line has opened bookings for sailings through Vietnam and Cambodia as 124-passenger AmaDara prepares to return to the Mekong on October 17.

Guests can add a land package to either of the seven-night Charms of the Mekong or Riches of the Mekong itineraries at a two-for-one rate on seven 2022 sailings.

The itineraries can be combined with pre- or post-cruise land packages in Hanoi, Ha Long Bay, Ho Chi Minh City or Siem Reap.

Jamie Loizou, managing director of AmaWaterways, said the line is seeing “strong forward bookings” for the next two years, but there is still time to book a trip in 2022.

He said: “We are delighted to be returning to the Mekong which has been an incredibly popular destination for us in the past. We are seeing strong forward bookings for 2023 and 2024, and with entry regulations easing, it isn’t too late to travel to this spectacular part of the world in 2022.

“As their confidence returns, travellers are looking for authentic experiences in exotic destinations and the Mekong offers something for everyone: beautiful cruising, wonderful people, charming remote towns, and exciting cities.”
