Windstar expands Caribbean cruise coverage

A new Caribbean itinerary has been introduced by Windstar Cruises for winter 2023-24.

The islands of St Maarten, Antigua, St Barts, Anguilla, Jost Van Dyke for an overnight stay, Virgin Gorda and Tortola feature. 

All-suite ship Star Pride (pictured) will run the first departure on November 4, 2023 followed by eight sailings by 342-passenger sailing yacht Wind Surf.

Two itineraries can be combined to also include Dominica, Guadeloupe, St Kitts and Nevis as well as a repeat in St Barts.

One week all-inclusive cruise-only prices start at £2,640 per person.

Windstar will also start its first sailings from Miami in December 2022 after relocating its offices from Seattle to the Florida city.

Two itineraries are featured. One covers Key West, Mexico, Belize, Guatemala and Honduras starting at £2,474pp and the other covers Mexico, Belize, Honduras, Costa Rica and Panama at a lead-in of £2,870pp.

A seven-day cruise from Costa Rica is added from January 2024 from the port of Puerto Caldera on the country’s Pacific coast, featuring inaugural calls in San Juan del Sur and Corinto in Nicaragua. Fares start at £2,940pp.  

The new cruise can be combined with a Panama Canal itinerary for a 14-day voyage in the region.
