Virgin Voyages opens registration for ‘First Mates’

Virgin Voyages has opened registration for its dedicated agent online platform – FirstMates.com.

The website will be the digital home for UK agents where they can learn, engage and do business with Virgin Voyages.

FirstMates.com, which will officially launch on February 5, is to offer downloadable digital and in-store marketing material and interactive learning materials.

Virgin Voyages will start an ‘immersive’ learning campaign called Cabin Fever on February 6 which will give agents details on first ship Scarlet Lady’s cabins and suites.

Agents will be able to make bookings for the 2020 programme through FirstMates.com from February 14.

If they have customers holding pre-sale deposits they can contact the line’s sales team.

All agents registered to FirstMates.com before February 14 will enter a competition to have tea with Sir Richard Branson, the Virgin Group Founder.

Stacy Shaw, vice president of sales and business development for Virgin Voyages, said: “We aim to be brilliant to do business with, and we are calling all travel sellers looking for a fresh travel option for their customers and a simple approach to do business to join us on our journey as a First Mate.”

Virgin Voyages is building three ships, which will launch in 2020, 2021 and 2022. Last month, the line revealed plans to build a cruise terminal at PortMiami and confirmed it would add a fourth, €700 million, ship to its planned fleet.

The line said it will reveal further details of Scarlet Lady’s onboard experience ahead of February 14.
