Seabourn introduces group booking scheme to ‘amplify’ trade sales

Seabourn has introduced a scheme designed to “amplify travel advisors’ business opportunities” and simplify the group booking process.

The scheme, called Seabourn Enhanced Groups Programme, offers shipboard credit or bonus commission for bookings, eliminates the need for deposits for smaller group allotments and increases group capacity, the line said.

Effective for all group bookings on sailings departing in autumn 2025 and beyond, the programme allows agents book nine full fare passengers with the tenth guest sailing for a reduced fare, plus there will be an expanded list of select cruises that allow bookings of seven full fare customers with the eighth sailing for a reduced fare. Meanwhile, simplified tour conductor credit means the reduced fare can be averaged across all fares in the group, so everyone benefits, the line added.

Agents will have “enhanced flexibility” through the new programme, the line said, with the option to choose between shipboard credit or bonus commission.

Shipboard credit amounts of up to £390 are available per suite, and agents can opt to provide customers with that or earn up to 5% bonus commission per suite.

For groups of up to 10 suites, no deposit is required, while for groups of 11 suites and over, a refundable deposit will be needed.

Steve Smotrys, vice-president of sales and trade relations, said: “Seabourn has a long history of delivering incredible groups, incentives and charter experiences and this new programme underscores our dedication to consistently refining and enriching the group booking process for travel advisors.

“Whether it’s marking a special milestone or arranging a corporate gathering, we look forward to warmly welcoming groups on board for an incredible voyage all while delivering unparalleled ultra-luxury and service.”
