Seabourn extends bonus commission offer

Seabourn is offering 5% bonus commission when agents sell an allocation of five suites or more.

The luxury line is extending an offer which was first launched in March during its Partner Appreciation event series in hopes of encouraging bookings for summer 2021 sailings.

The 'GAP' incentive means agents can request to take an allocation of five or more sailings, without the financial commitment they would have previously had to take on group bookings. Agents who take an allocation but fail to sell their allotment can simply give the suites back to Seabourn without any penalty, however they will not get the 9% bonus commission.

The allocation offer can be combined with Seabourn’s existing campaign which includes a 4% bonus commission on select Europe, Alaska and Canada cruises, so up to 9% bonus commission is on offer.

Instead of encouraging groups for the allocation, Seabourn is instead suggesting agents sell their allocation to extended families or simply on a suite by suite basis.

The offer is applicable to summer 2021 sailings, but bookings must be made before July 31. The line is also offering $500 on board credit per suite to encourage consumers.

Lynn Narraway, Seabourn’s UK and Ireland managing director said: “As we look ahead to 2021 opportunities, taking out an allocation of five or more suites on a chosen Seabourn summer 2021 sailing means that agent partners may then market that cruise, along with all the benefits, to families, friends or even individual clients. Seabourn has also waived any GAP deposit fee, meaning that there is no cost for the agent to set up the allocation, and guests simply pay the regular cruise deposit when they book.

“It is so simple to set up an allocation with Seabourn. For example if an agent partner were to take an allocation of five veranda suites on a 10-night Yachtsman’s Mediterranean cruise on Seabourn Encore, departing from Civitavecchia on June 23, 2021, the agent would receive 5% bonus GAP commission plus our special 4% bonus commission - total 9% extra compensation, while the client will enjoy $500 per suite onboard spend plus all the amenities of our Sensational Suite Savings promotion, which include complimentary suite upgrades, included business class air from London and select regional airports, free internet package and more.

Agents must set up the allocation on their chosen summer Europe, Alaska or Canada & New England 2021 cruise before July 31 to receive the enhanced benefits.

Bonus commission will be applied once the allocation reaches the required number of guests.
