Seabourn cancels cruises through to autumn

Seabourn has announced it has suspended its cruises until at the autumn.

The line has extended its pause on operations across all five ships until October or November depending on the ship and itinerary.

Seabourn had initially cancelled sailings through to June 30 due to the coronavirus crisis, but now sailing won’t recommence until much later in the year.

The line is offering future cruise credits or refunds but warned it needed time to process both.

The cancellations are as below:

  • Seabourn Odyssey: Cancelled through to November 20
  • Seabourn Sojourn: Cancelled through to October 13
  • Seabourn Quest: Cancelled through to November 6
  • Seabourn Encore: Cancelled through to October 19
  • Seabourn Ovation: Sailings cancelled through to November 6

Seabourn president Rick Meadows said: “We know travellers, as well as our past guests, are thinking about and looking forward to traveling based on a lot of information we are seeing lately.

“With many cruise ports still closed, destinations opening in phases, and airline capacity limited, a continuation of our pause gives us additional time to prepare for our eventual return to service.

“When we resume and social gathering is acceptable once again, we will do so with the health and safety of our guests, crew and the people in each of the destinations we visit as a priority, just as it has been throughout our history.”
