Rosewood Villa Magna unveils new penthouse accommodations

Rosewood Villa Magna in Madrid has unveiled a collection of four new residential-style houses as it boosts its private accommodation offering.

The new penthouses include Anglada House, Salamanca House, Castellana House and Cedros House.

Anglada House and Salamanca House were the most recent to be completed and conclude the final phase of a large-scale renovation of the hotel.

Both accommodations are situated on the top level of the property and feature outdoor terraces with panoramic views of Madrid. The terraces are available for use all season and can also serve as private event spaces.

Anglada House, named after the Spanish businessman and politician Juan Anglada, is the largest private room in the hotel, accommodating up to six guests and featuring two bedrooms, a work studio, a dining room, a living room and a kitchen with an island.

Rosewood said the residential-style layout was reminiscent of a large contemporary loft with no formal separations between rooms or the interior and terrace.

The accommodation includes a fireplace, high ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows and a collection of contemporary art including sculptures, still life and family portraits by famed artists Johannes Neilson and Salustiano Garcia Cruz.

Salamanca House is also contemporary in style and features artwork from local artists but is inspired by the historic Salamanca district where the hotel is located.

The house has one formal bedroom but can be extended with several adjoining suites to create a four-bedroom accommodation, alongside various living areas and a kitchen area with a professional barbecue.

Castellana House is located on the second floor of the hotel overlooking the Castellana neighbourhood. It offers accommodation for up to five guests across two bedrooms, a living room and three bathrooms.

Cedros House is situated on the sixth floor of the building and is named for the centenary cedar located in the garden of the property’s entrance.

The house features one bedroom, a living and dining room and a service kitchen. It has a maximum capacity of three guests but can be combined with a Castellana Junior Suite for additional space.

Rosewood Villa Magna reopened in October 2021 following a comprehensive refurbishment and redesign. The property has been a local landmark since opening in 1972 on Madrid's most coveted boulevard, Paseo de la Castellana.
