Rosewood to expand with new Sardinia property

Rosewood Hotels has announced plans to open a property on the Italian island of Sardinia in 2022.

Rosewood Porto Cervo joins the brand’s two other Italian properties in Tuscany and Venice.

The resort will be located in Costa Smeralda and will have 65 rooms across three storeys. Of those rooms, 26 will be suites with 180-degree ocean views.

It will have four dining venues and will have a bistro and lounge bar, a pool bar and a beach club.

Sonia Cheng, chief executive of Rosewood Hotel Group, said: Rosewood Porto Cervo will showcase our visionary, innovative ambition for creating one-of-a-kind resorts through Rosewood’s uniquely sophisticated lens. We look forward to showcasing our brand’s A Sense of Place® philosophy as we create a luxurious haven in Sardinia.”

The property is the latest in a string of additions the group has announced in recent weeks, with the brand taking over management of Le Guanahani in Saint Barths and Hotel Villa magna in Spain.
