Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco adds 19 suites for summer

Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco in Tuscany has added 19 private suites and renovated its restaurant as it gears up to reopen on June 2.

The one-bedroom suites will be located within a new complex on the estate and will each feature a heated infinity lap pool and views over Montalcino town and Unesco-protected park Val d’Orcia. Garden suites will also have their own garden with a private entrance.

Rosewood said interiors had been designed to reflect the estate’s “timeless but contemporary” house style, with wrought iron and wood canopy beds, hand-sewn curtains, pure virgin wool carpets and antique prints.

The new accommodation, scheduled to open later this summer, brings the hotel’s total number of suites to 42. The property is also home to 11 villas restored from 17th and 18th-century Tuscan farmhouses.

Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco is also set to unveil its newly renovated restaurant Osteria La Canonica, featuring a larger, newly equipped kitchen and a new breakfast concept offering all-day indoor or alfresco dining.

In addition, the property is launching its new Journey to Resilience programme this spring as part of Rosewood’s wider wellness retreat concept.

The programme will offer guests a range of resources to reconnect with themselves and nature, including experiences like forest bathing, naturopathy and seasonal cooking classes.

“We are delighted to be reopening the hotel at Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco in June and sharing our news on the exciting property expansion later this summer,” said Davide Bertilaccio, regional vice president and managing director at Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco.

“Our new dedicated Commitment to Care health and safety program will ensure that our guests and associates feel safe - their comfort is our utmost priority - and we’re excited to welcome them once again to our authentic and truly private Tuscan retreat.”
