Rocco Forte Hotels to open first property in Milan

Rocco Forte Hotels will open its first property in Milan in 2023.

The Carlton Milan will have 70 rooms and suites, a restaurant, lounge bar, wellness centre and a rooftop bar with panoramic views of the city. The ground floor will have a Milanese restaurant Il Baretto.

It will be the brand’s eighth hotel in Italy.

Sir Rocco Forte, founder and president of the hotel group, said: “Milan is one of the world’s most dynamic and design-centric destinations, a creative and vigorous city. It has always been an extremely productive centre with even greater development generated by the success of the Expo in 2015. We have great confidence in Milan’s future and the many international events and visitors it welcomes every year.

“We are thrilled to confront this extraordinary city and bring our philosophy of luxury and quality here.”

The brand’s director of design Olga Polizzi will collaborate with interior designers Paolo Moschino and Philip Vergeylen on the property.

Last year, Rocco Forte opened Hotel de la Ville and Rocco Forte House in Rome.
