Raffles Maldives Meradhoo unveils new six-bedroom villa
Raffles Maldives Meradhoo has opened a new six-bedroom villa, the Raffles Royal Residence.
The villa occupies a stretch of the resort’s Beach Island and at 1,700 square metres can accommodate up to 15 guests.
It features three reception rooms, a 40-metre pool, a private beach, a dining room able to cater up to 24 guests and an expansive roof terrace.
Interiors were conceived by Singapore-based design firm Blink, and combine the Maldives’ seascape with Raffles’ distinct colonial style.
A 24-hour butler will be available to facilitate private boat trips, personalised dinners and in-villa spa treatments.
So-called Children’s Butlers can also be enlisted to entertain younger guests.
A statement from Raffles Maldives Meradhoo, which opened last year in the Gaafu Alifu atoll, said the opening of the new Royal Residence came at a perfect time as travellers look for privacy and exclusivity amid the global coronavirus pandemic.
“As the world slowly emerges from lockdown, this Indian Ocean idyll is ready to reveal a retreat that will provide the ultimate hideaway for those who want to relax in unparalleled style,” it read.
