Preferred Hotels and Resorts unveils nine new openings for 2022

Preferred Hotels and Resorts will welcome nine new hotel openings into its portfolio in 2022.

Highlights include Pendry Park City in Utah, which is scheduled to launch in January in the heart of Canyons Village at Park City Mountain. The ski-in, ski-out property will feature 153 rooms, suites and residences, four restaurants and bars, a spa and fitness centre, and a heated rooftop pool.

The sister property to Italy’s iconic Grand Hotel Tremezzo, Passalacqua (pictured), will follow in June 2022, located on the shores of Lake Como. The mansion was originally built in the 18th century by Count Andrea Lucini Passalacqua and today offers 24 suites, a lakeside swimming pool, an open-air gym set in the olive groves and a private dock offering vintage boat trips.

Summer 2022 will also see the opening of The Fullerton Ocean Park Hotel Hong Kong - an eco-conscious oceanfront resort located in the city’s Southside district - and sly Berlin, a 150-key property housed across four buildings, interconnected via open courtyard spaces and a large greenhouse in the city’s trendy Friedrichshain neighbourhood.

Sommerro in Oslo, Norway will open in September 2022. The 231-room property occupies the former headquarters of the capital city’s electric company, Oslo Lysverker, and through a multi-million-dollar renovation will become a modern tribute to local cultural heritage, with original artwork from celebrated Norwegian artist Per Krohg and communal spaces including four restaurants, three bars and a 100-seat gilded theatre.

Other 2022 openings include The Wall Street Hotel in New York, Amrit Ocean Resort & Residences on Singer Island in The Palm Beaches, Florida and Pendry Washington DC in the US, and TOA Hotel & Space in Zanzibar, Tanzania.
