Oceania Cruises unveils new ship Vista

Oceania Cruises has confirmed its newest ship will be named Vista and will join the fleet in 2023.

The line’s seventh ship will be the first of two new 1,200-guest Allura Class vessels that are being constructed by Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri. Vista’s as yet unnamed sister ship will join the fleet in 2025.

Oceania Cruises said Vista had been named to reflect “the dawn of a new age in travel” and the view of "the future for the Oceania Cruises brand”.

The ship will feature a two-deck Grand Dining Room inspired by 20th-century Paris, nine culinary options and a staff-to-guest ratio of 2:3.

Vista will sail its first commercial voyage in early 2023. Its inaugural voyage opens for sale in September 2021.

"Oceania Cruises is an innovative and ever-evolving brand,” said Bob Binder, president and chief executive of Oceania Cruises.

“We are always looking over the horizon, and Vista represents our view to the future.”

He added: "More than any other part of the Oceania Cruises organisation, we owe our success to our onboard teams.

“They are the ones who made Vista possible, and it is a credit to them, these true visionaries of the seven seas, that we name the ship for them, in their honour.”
