Oceania Cruises’ 2024 World Cruise sells out in 30 minutes

Oceania Cruises has said its 2024 Around the World in 180 Days voyage sold out within 30 minutes of going on sale.

The round-world cruise and four Grand Voyages, ranging from 72 to 82 days, went on sale on March 2, and bookings were 12% higher than the line’s previous record booking day in September 2021.

Oceania reported that almost half of all bookings for the 2024 World Cruise were from new-to-brand guests and 42% of passengers sailing on the 2022 Around the World voyage rebooked for the 2024 global sailing.

In addition to the world cruise, four Grand Voyages, ranging from 72 to 82 days, on Regatta, Nautica and Riviera were also put on sale.

President and chief executive Howard Sherman said: “The response to our 2024 world cruise and the Grand Voyages clearly illustrates the resiliency, enthusiasm, and passion that drive our guests to travel the world.

“The fervent demand for these globetrotting experiences is also a testament to our officers and crew and the travel partners that have steadfastly championed the worldwide return to travel.”

“The tremendous response from our loyal repeat guests and new first-time guests alike continues to illustrate the epic pent-up demand for immersive, destination-focused cruises and the strong allure of our acclaimed small-ship experience.”

The line claimed it had seen “exceptional demand” for its 2023 Europe and North America collection of voyages.
