Not Just Travel co-founders scoop entrepreneur award

Not Just Travel co-founders Steve Witt and Paul Harrison have been given the award of South West Scale Up Entrepreneur of the Year, recognising “outstanding growth and leadership”.

The co-founders of Not Just Travel and its recruitment arm, The Travel Franchise, were given their award on Monday (November 20) by the Great British Entrepreneur Awards, during a ceremony held at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel.

Witt described the award as “the cherry on a huge cake” as it follows several other awards this year.

“This additional accolade is testament to our exceptional trajectory of solid and sustained growth, as well as our pioneering spirit,” he said.

“But anyone who knows Paul and me also knows we’re not stopping there. We have incredibly ambitious plans for the next few years, starting with the development of our referral programme, where consultants can earn extra commission by recruiting others to the family.”

The homeworking franchise said it has seen sales double over the past two years, with many agents regularly taking over £100,000 in holiday bookings a month.

A new franchisee has joined every working day since March 2023.

Harrison added: “This award represents the hard work of every person in our consultant and corporate team. Steve and I may have been recognised as business leaders, but the entrepreneurial spirit is evident in every single person in the entire NJT business – that’s how we’ve made success happen. We thank everyone and share this prestigious award with them.”

The Allica Bank Great British Entrepreneur Awards has been described as ‘The Grammys of Entrepreneurship’, receiving 5,000 applications annually.
