Nobu Hospitality has announced plans to open its fourth hotel and restaurant in Spain, Nobu Hotel and Restaurant San Sebastián.

The property is scheduled to launch in March 2023 with 20 guest rooms and suites and a 98-seat Nobu restaurant offering panoramic water and city views.

The fully renovated hotel sits on the site of the famed Palacio Vista Eder property, which was constructed in 1912 and designed by renowned Spanish architect, Francisco Urcola. The hotel overlooks the popular La Concha Bay.

Nobu Hospitality chief executive Trevor Horwell said: “We are truly honoured to be entering the city of San Sebastián, well known for its cultural diversity and a beacon of gastronomic excellence in Spain.

“The Nobu Hotel and Restaurant San Sebastián are crafted on the tremendous vision of our partner, Millenium, to create a very special hospitality experience.  We look forward to becoming a part of the local community whom we hold in such high regard.”

Co-founders Nobu Matsuhisa, Robert De Niro and Meir Teper added: “San Sebastián is an exciting location for the brand as good quality food is intrinsic to the destination. Nobu Hospitality currently operates 12 hotels, with at least a further 13 in the pipeline. The brand most recently announced plans to open its first hotel in Italy, Nobu Hotel and Restaurant Roma, which is expected to launch next summer.
