Naladhu Private Island to reopen in November following major redesign

Luxury Maldivian island resort Naladhu Private Island has closed for six months for a complete renovation and is due to relaunch in November.

The resort will undergo a complete redesign with all the accommodation and public areas including the restaurant, bar, wine cellar, spa room and gym receiving a makeover.

New York-based designer Yuji Yamazaki is overseeing the redesign and is said to be giving the resort a modern colonial look.

Located in the South Malé Atoll, a 30 minute speedboat from Malé's international airport, Naladhu Private Island is home to 20 keys.

The resort’s top suite, the Two Bedroom Pool Residence, will have its own 20 metre private beach, while each Ocean House will have its own private beach cabana.

The property will be expanding its no-menu ‘dine anywhere’ concept, enabling guests to choose their favourite dishes and dining spots around the clock.

The resort will also be renewing its wellness focus with a new dedicated spa treatment area including a double treatment room and bathing and changing area, as well as a resident naturopath and nutritional therapist.
