Mondrian Hotels to open two properties in France

Boutique hotel brand Mondrian is set to make its European debut with two properties in France.

The Accor-owned brand will reopen the Cannes Grand Hotel in 2021 on the Promenade de la Croisette, one of the most prominent roads in the French Riviera.

It will comprise 75 guestrooms distributed across 11 floors, as well as a restaurant and bar overlooking a large private garden.

A private beach positioned at the front of the hotel will open in 2020.

A second property built around a 19th-century building in Bordeaux is also in the pipeline, featuring 97 guestrooms across three floors, a restaurant and bar, spa and open-air terrace.

It is scheduled to open in the second half of 2021.

Mondrian Hotels currently operates five properties across Los Angeles, South Beach, London, New York and Doha.
