Masai dance in the rain outside Harrods for A&K
Six Masai Mara tribal dancers? performed a welcoming dance outside Harrods today (Thursday)?to celebrate the 50th anniversary of luxury travel company Abercrombie & Kent.
With the assistance of doormen Mustapha Bakhtaoui and Nigel Field (glasses), the African tribesmen and women performed what is officially known as the Jambo Bwana Hakuna Matata dance before visiting A&K staff at the private travel store within Harrods.
The dancers are part of the Masai Cultural Arts organisation?which was asked to help celebrate the anniversary of A&K, founded?in Kenya by chief executive and chairman Geoffrey Kent with a Jeep and an ice box.
Kent said: “The dancing is amazing but I think the costumes are more suited to the weather in Kenya than a rainy day in England!
“I am very proud that Abercrombie & Kent is the premier luxury holiday company in the world and that we have been providing amazing experiences and memories for people for 50-years.”
The company employs?more than?2,000 people in 50 countries and clients include Bill Gates, Oprah Winfrey, Tom Hanks, Elle Macpherson, Liam Neeson and Denzel Washington.
