Malaysia Airlines raises A380 London frequency

hts between Heathrow and Kuala Lumpur are to run from today (Tuesday) by Malaysia Airlines.

The increase in flights from three a week comes as the airline takes delivery of a second 494-passenger superjumbo.

The carrier introduced the double decker aircraft on the London-Malaysia route six week ago.

The aircraft burns 17% less fuel per passenger when compared to other large aircraft, the airline claims.

Malaysia Airlines’ A380 flight MH3 departs Heathrow daily at noon and arrives in Kuala Lumpur at 7.35am local time the next day.

The inbound flight departs daily at 11.40pm and arrives Heathrow at 5.50am the following day.

Malaysia Airlines operates the A380 in a three class configuration with eight first class seats, 66 business class and 420 in economy.
