Luxury US group to manage H?'tel de Crillon in Paris
The property is currently closed while it undergoes restoration lasting two years and is due to reopen in 2015.
Originally built in 1758, H?'tel de Crillon overlooks Place de la Concorde and has stood through the reign of two French kings, the French Revolution, the rise and fall of the Napoleonic Empire and the birth of the League of Nations.
The restoration will add a “contemporary polish” to the hotel while remaining respectful of its traditions and faithful to its character.
The announcement follows the opening of Rosewood London in October as part of a global expansion plan with a particular focus on Europe and Asia.
Hotels in Beijing, Riyadh and Baha Mar are set to open in 2014 with further openings already announced including Phuket, Bali and Bangkok.
