Luxury travel figures recognised in Walpole’s Power List 2023

Key figures from the luxury travel industry have been named among the 50 most influential people in British luxury by industry body Walpole.

Abercrombie & Kent’s chief tour operating officer for UK, US and Australia, Kerry Golds; Jules Maury, the head of Scott Dunn’s invitation-only community Scott Dunn Private; and Cunard’s vice-president for brand and product, Lee Powell, received recognition in the Walpole Power List 2023.

Victoria Carvalho, chief proposition officer at concierge company Ten Lifestyle Group and Adam Sebba, chief executive of newly launched tour operator The Luminaire, were also named.

The list included leaders of several luxury London hotels, including Stuart Geddes, managing director of The Lanesborough; Guillaume Marly, managing director of Hotel Café Royal; Kerstin Remy, commercial director for sales and marketing at The Hari; and Linda Plant, director of strategic relations at Edwardian Hotels London, whose portfolio includes The Londoner and The May Fair.

Walpole said the annual Power List showcased “inspirational individuals” within its member brands whose “creativity, leadership and skill is powering the future growth” of the luxury sector.

Chief executive Helen Brocklebank said: "After four years of publishing the Walpole Power List I am always struck by the quality of the creatives, entrepreneurs and executives who are growing their careers in British luxury.

"Time and time again we see that people are this sector’s greatest asset and the driving force behind the brands, hotels and cultural institutions that make British luxury so desirable. It’s a pleasure to be able to recognise and celebrate their achievements this evening.”
