Kimpton opens first hotel in Spain

Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants’ first property in Spain has opened in Barcelona’s historic Gothic Quarter.

Designed for both locals and tourists, Kimpton Vividora Hotel features 156 guestrooms, 10 suites, three restaurants and bars and a rooftop terrace and pool with panoramic views of the city.

The property is within walking distance of some of the city’s most prominent landmarks including Las Ramblas, Barceloneta Beach and La Boqueria market.

Guests will have access to in-room yoga mats, bikes and hotel-branded skateboards for exploring the city, as well as a nightly hosted ‘social hour’ and Kimpton’s signature pet-friendly policy.

“Kimpton continues on its incredible growth trajectory across the globe, and the brand’s debut in Spain is a fantastic example of our unique approach to heartfelt luxury,” said Tom Rowntree, vice president of Luxury Brands at parent company IHG.

“Every detail is thoughtfully curated and artfully delivered, so that the guest experience remains meaningful, unscripted and ridiculously personal.”
