Jumeirah Group makes debut in Oman

Jumeirah Group has expanded its footprint in the Middle East with the opening of its first resort in Oman.

Jumeirah Muscat Bay is located within the secluded cove of Bandar Jissah between the Hajar mountains and Gulf of Oman, 15 minutes from the capital of Muscat.

The property features 206 rooms and suites, all with ocean views, with connecting rooms available for families. There are also five ‘summerhouses’ in two and four-bed configurations and a Sanctuary Villa, all of which feature their own private pools, dedicated butler service and access to a private beach.

Five dining venues include ocean-side, multi-cuisine restaurant Peridot, afternoon tea lounge Tarini, poolside eatery Zuka, bar and terrace Anzo and, set to open in September, signature restaurant Brezza, which will serve sharing-style seafood.

A two-floor Talise Spa will also make its debut in Oman at the property, featuring ten treatment rooms, a hammam, sauna, steam room and a range of therapeutic treatments which can be tailored to each client's needs.

Guests can also enjoy a state-of-the-art fitness centre, yoga studio, tennis court and Padi-certified diving and watersports centre. There’s a kids’ club for younger guests and a host of activities available including hiking and biking through the Hajar mountains, sailing and snorkelling with turtles.

Jumeirah’s chef executive José Silva said: “Oman is a popular destination for those looking to combine nature and wellness with cultural interest. At Jumeirah Muscat Bay, we have focused on taking cues from the natural landscape and its restorative energy and have brought this to life through design and architecture and in keeping with the hallmarks of Jumeirah Hotels & Resorts, our innovative dining concepts, signature service and exceptional experiences are well represented throughout this resort.

"As we continue to expand our portfolio, we are delighted to open the doors to this beautiful resort and bring our brand promise of Stay Different, for the first time to Oman.”

The hotel is running a special opening offer to celebrate its launch. Those booking before September 30, 2022, will benefit from up to 20% off on room stays of four nights or more, as well as a complimentary stay for one child up to 11 years staying in the same room or suite, complimentary kids’ club access for junior guests and $100 worth of credits redeemable across the resort’s food, beverage and spa offerings.
