Jos Dewing departs AE Expeditions to co-found new project

The UK boss of AE Expeditions has left the business after three years to co-found an unnamed new project.

EMEA managing director Jos Dewing revealed that last week was his last at the company and he was planning a new project as co-founder.

Writing on LinkedIn, he said: “It has been a very difficult decision to leave AE and I pay tribute to a truly incredible bunch of people globally (land and sea) and a fantastic team here in the UK too in outside and inside sales.

“When I joined the expedition company in 2021, we had just a single ship, the Greg Mortimer, laid up due to Covid.

“It is amazing to see just how far the company has come in less than three years.

“Two ships operating with world-beating scores, a third new-build on the horizon and a product continuing to operate at the very highest levels of experience, innovation and responsible travel, as highlighted from our recent B-Corp certification.

“My time at AE has been hugely rewarding, learning so much about the true nature of expedition and small-ship travel from some of the best and most experienced people on the planet.

“I would like to thank everyone for an amazing experience and I am also excited about my own future plans/project, coming soon.

“There is no question that AE will go from strength to strength and I am proud to have been a small part of this journey.”

Dewing has previously worked as managing director at Voyages to Discovery as well as roles at SeaDream Yacht Club, The Cruise Line and All Leisure Holidays.
