Elegant Resorts and If Only agents visit Barbados on fam trip

Fifteen agents from If Only and Elegant Resorts visited Barbados on a fam trip organised by the Caribbean destination’s tourist board.

The group, which was made up of the operators’ top sellers, stayed at the O2 Beach Club and Spa, Treasure Beach by Marriott, and the Fairmont Royal Pavilion.

Barbados is Elegant Resorts’ top performing destination, which Caroline Beckett, head of product, attributed to the island’s immersive experiences, visitor safety and “unrivalled” culinary scene.

She said: “Year-to-date bookings are trending 9.5% up in terms of revenue and 3% up in actual passenger numbers versus 2019.”

Cheryl Carter, Barbados Tourism Marketing’s UK director, said: “In such a competitive environment, it is critical to afford agents the opportunity to fully immerse themselves in the Barbados experience.”

She added: “The Elegant Resorts and If Only agents had an amazing time on the island and are excited to get back to the UK and start selling Barbados holidays.”
