Editor's Letter: Standing with you all

The industry has been rocked by the coronavirus crisis, and Aspire stands with you all, says editor Hollie-Rae Brader

The events of recent days have sent shockwaves through our industry. The coronavirus has had huge impact on our industry already; far greater than the majority of us ever envisaged.

I’ve spent the past week speaking to friends in the industry and hearing of their struggles and heartbreak for a sector and business they love.

Many retail shops have closed their doors, heeding government advice for social distancing and protecting employees’ health and safety, and the Aspire team is also now working remotely.

There’s no doubt that we face further challenges with this crisis likely to continue for some time, but we must stand together and support each other through these testing times. It’s going to be tough,  but we will emerge stronger.

Please know, the Aspire team is here to support you. If we can help in any way - even if you simply want to voice concerns, share your story, or have a completely none work-related chat - we’re here and ready to listen. Community spirit is so important, especially in times such as these, so please get in contact if we can offer you any help or support.
