Domes Resorts hosts more than 200 on fam trips in one month

Domes Resorts hosted more than 200 trade partners on a series of fam trips this month as part of the luxury hotel group’s bid to strengthen relationships with UK travel professionals.

Santorini, the Algarve, Corfu and Mykonos were among the destinations, which spanned Greece and Portugal.

Penny Naoum, senior sales, marketing and development manager at Domes Resorts for the UK, said: “We cherish our relationships with UK travel agents and tour operators and are dedicated to providing them with first-hand experiences of our exceptional properties.”

Feedback from the trips has been described as “overwhelmingly positive”, with Domes Resorts reporting that levels of trust and cooperation have been boosted by the visits.

“These fam trips are testament to our commitment to the UK trade market,” Naoum said, adding that agents were able to heighten their product knowledge while also lifting their ability to promote the destinations.

In addition to agents, the trips also featured tour operator representatives as well as representatives from the trade media.

In April and May, more than 45 travel professionals attended the soft opening of Domes Novos Santorini. Following this, 70 agents and operator representatives went to Domes Lake Algarve, while 32 were introduced to the recently renovated Domes Noruz Kassandra.

A total of 20 professionals visited Domes Aulus Elounda, 25 went to Domes of Elounda, 23 to Domes Miramare, and 10 to Domes of Corfu.

Domes White Coast Milos hosted two site inspections, Domes Noruz Chania hosted four and Domes Noruz Mykonos welcomed four visitors.
